The Cheltenham Tree Group

Tucked away on the edge of town, this small tree nursery is run entirely by volunteers. The Cheltenham Tree Group cultivates young saplings—known as whips—from donated seeds and cuttings, nurturing them over several years before they are sold to local residents and councils. All proceeds go to tree-planting and conservation charities around the world.
This series documents the quiet, dedicated work of the volunteers and the serene environment they’ve created—a space shaped by patience, care, and community. Through these photographs, I aim to celebrate the understated beauty of grassroots environmentalism and the individuals quietly making a difference, one tree at a time.
